NHS 111 makes it easier for you to access local NHS HEALTHCARE SERVICES. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but its not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time. You can also dial 111 when the surgery is closed
An appointment can be made by ringing 01430 430318 or calling into the practice in person. Also you can now book ONLINE by obtaining a username and password then clicking the link above.

Howden Medical Centre offers patients access to book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view their summary care record, access their detailed coded and full medical record online.

To obtain access pick up a registration form in the surgery or on our website.  To expand what you already have access to online , logon on to your account and apply for the additional services you require.

Approximately 90% of our GP telephone consultation appointments are pre-bookable with the remainder being bookable only on the day.  Where we have        Locum GPs working for us some of their face to face appointments will be available for online booking.

If you have a child under 13 years of age you can request access as a parent.

HOW TO BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT ONLINE
Patients can register for Systmonline. Once registered you can book appointments and order prescriptions via the internet. Your detailed coded clinical record is available as standard now and you have the option to request access to your full clinical record.

To do this please ask at reception and bring a form of ID with you so that we can verify your identity.  You can download the registration form from our website but must bring this to the surgery with a form of ID as listed on the bottom of the registration form.
You will be given a username and password for the online service. Once registered please click on the link below.

MINOR AILMENT?
Local pharmacies can offer free advice and medications for minor ailments or self-limiting illness - saving you time and freeing up a doctor's appointment for more serious illness.

Third year medical students are taught at the practice on a Wenesday.

You may be asked by your doctor if you wish to participate in the teaching by taking part in face-to-face consultation with the medical student.
